Its the fact that in Pakistan sarees are less used than Shalwar Kameez as its the national dress of Pakistanis. One perception of lesser use of sarees is its affiliation with the hindus, which is in fact not true. We might say that the reason behind it can be its revealing and exposing outfits which is against the embargo of Islam.However, as it is worn by the people living before the partition time and had an strong cultural bonding with the people of sub-continent it is still one of the most popular dresses in Pakistani Society. Not just by the hindus of Pakistan but also by some elderly muslims and young youth has come up with the latest fashion designs of sarees and the trend of wearing it is becoming popular n popular on daily basis.
It wont be wrong if we conclude up with the fact that in near future fashion of wearing saris will be re-introduced and would be considered as the status symbol in Pakistan.
